The River Cafe, The Moss Room, Restaurants, San Francisco, London

Looking for delicious dining in style? There is always some new restaurant opening in town, and that means a fresh new look to enjoy looking at while eating. Celebrating the redesign of London’s River Café by Stuart Forbes, while enjoying a meal with a fresh atmosphere is exactly the kind of thing one would want while on vacation. Hanging out in San Francisco Golden Park may leave you famished, and if you aren’t a fan of cart hot dogs, The Moss Room cafe can make you positively fall in love with the city and food over and over again. Designed by Olle Londberg, the idea of bringing mature indoors was taken to a literal level and brings fun to the underground cafe.

Green Design, Proximity Hotel, North Carolina, Sustainable Design, Hotel, Carbon Footprint

Proximity  Hotel in Greensboro, North Carolina is the kind of hotel that you can feel good about staying at environmentally.  The Proximity uses 36.5% less energy and 30% less water than a conventional hotel. It gets 60% of its hot water from 100 solar thermal panels on the roof. There are over 70 green practices at the hotel  that dont cut into the guests comfort level, and generally has the guests leaving feeling refreshed, and more aware of their carbon footprint.

Building materials with recycled content include reinforced steel  with 90% post consumer recycled content, National Gypsum Wallboard 100%, asphalt 25% and staircase steel 50%. Concrete contains 4% fly ash (224,000 pounds), the mineral residue left after the combustion of coal that is diverted from landfills

Abundant natural lighting, including large energy-efficient …“operable windows (7 square windows in guest rooms), connects guests to the outdoors by achieving a direct line of sight to the outdoor environment for more than 97% of all regularly occupied spaces.
