Aqua By Design
I’m finding that lately my eyes are continually brought back to these soothing palettes of rainwashed, pale aqua interiors, with their clean, simple design, and that I find visual interest in the contrast of black and white decor added to the more pastel hues, something that is calming and inviting. One thing is for sure, … “Aqua“ in whatever various tone, whether turquoise, seafoam, or Azure Sea….is definitely going to take center stage in my bedroom makeover this summer!

Beachy Keen!
Couldn’t get enough of this lovely, beachy, Hamptons style home, designed by the architectural firm: Hatfield Homes, with interiors by Lindy Allen of Four Chairs Furniture. The coastal themed home believe it or not, is actually nowhere near the coast, it’s the home of Cristi and Jeff of Lindon, Utah! Yep! you heard it right, not a Seagull in sight. Turns out the homeowners were fond of the style of homes in the Hamptons and fashioned their home accordingly. Love the color of the door and shutters! It’s Wythe Blue by Benjamin Moore, and this beautiful photography is from Hiya Papaya.

Hamptons Style
Aaahhh yes, The Hamptons! Just the name evokes images of sun-kissed shores, quaint shops, and big beautiful coastal homes that beckon you to come splash, shop and relax, right? Well, if that’s not quite in your budget just now, you can try re-creating some of that mood, by grabbing a bucket of paint in the right beachy tones of sand and sea, throw in a few of the right accents plus some aromatherapy candles in an nice ocean scent and your set with the palette and decor to wow your senses. Or you could go all out like this homeowner did in her amazing Utah home, and design it from the ground up to replicate all but the actual shoreline. I’d feel like I was on vacation everyday, looking for my Margarita and a hammock…:)
Draped orbs of aqua glass balls make the Serena chandelier by Currey and Company design formal and fashion-forward at the same time. Its sizeable wrought iron frame finished in contemporary silver granello forms its classic silhouette. The handfinishing process that is used on this chandelier lends an air of depth and richness not achieved by less time-consuming. Buy Here
