What are the things I should take care of before I plan my outdoor kitchen project?

Before you actually get started on the journey of putting together your dream outdoor kitchen, it is important to put together a budget for your project.  To do this you can look at different types of outdoor kitchen plans online or in books; these outdoor kitchen plans will help you bring your plan to realization.

Decide how much space you will be using for this kitchen. One of the essentials of an outdoor kitchen is having a barbecue, choose one first and then see how much space that will take up and then consider the other items you will want,  taking into account the space.

While planning your new outdoor kitchen you need to think about the lighting. Here you can use  solar lighting which  charges up all   day and automatically turns on at night.  There is a wide range available at your local home improvement store like Home Depot or Lowes.

Items you might want to inlcude in your dream outdoor kitchen: Pizza Ovens, Fireplaces, Fire with water features,  grills, refridgerator, dishwashers, sinks and work surfaces, entertaining areas, Flat Screen TV’s, Misters for those hot days, stainless grills, warming drawers, space heaters, kitchen cabinets and outdoor furnishings.

• Take into consideration when drawing up your plans how much time you plan on spending in your outdoor kitchen and how many people you will be entertaining.
• Make your outdoor kitchen to fit your climate.

• This design would include the following design features a sink, a grill and a little space where you will be able to chop and store your supplies.
• L Shaped Style this outdoor kitchen design has a configuration that allows for separate spaces for preparing the food and cooking it.  The seating arrangements are usually next to the grill island.
• U Shaped island this kind of island provides distinct zones for each kind of work. With this design you will have a place for preparing the food, cooking and eating and a bar area.  This design is usually preferred because food can be served straight from the grill while maintaining a conversation with your guests.
